I think this is meant to be integrated into existing apps. For example, mailtrain and maybe mautic has GrapeJS built into it's email template editors.

@girish I think it can be run standalone too, since its just generating html & css to use elsewhere.

      Also found this:

      • https://alternativeto.net/software/gramateria/

Maybe it could be packaged as an app or maybe as an add-on to Surfer or both?

Ultimately Carrd is very popular for marketing, and I'm looking for the best FOSS alternative to that for here to make it easy for people to build their one-pager sites to promote their services.

I think this is an excellent idea. (cc @nebulon )

@girish +1 on this. I think I had mentioned this to you a while ago when we sent a list of solutions - we used it to make our landing page when we went to that startup challenge. It is very useful for basic pages =]

Currently I am using wappler.io although it is not opensource it is very powerful

          ✌💙+1

@girish Just wondering if there is any update on the thinking about this ? or if anyone else has self-packaged GrapesJS for cloudron ?

@timconsidine I think GrapeJS is more like a library which is integrated into an existing app (like say mailtrain or mautic or surfer). It's not suited to be standalone (atleast, the last time I checked).

@timconsidine If you just wanted to use it to generate some HTML, for example for email newsletters, it should be as simple as copying all the source files into the web root of a LAMP app.

@marcusquinn yes, that was exactly what I wanted.
Didn't want to install mautic just for the newsletter design
Will give your suggestion a go.
                    Thanks 👍

@marcusquinn : I did what you suggested and use it in LAMP app on Cloudron. Works well enough 👍
