Let‘s hope it does not affect SOGo...

The Inverse team is looking forward to becoming part of Akamai's Enterprise security group. We plan to continue to support Inverse's current offerings and open source community as we unite the businesses.

This is interesting. I wonder how Inverse with its products fits with Akamai, it isn't really obvious to me.

@nebulon Probably no synergy. The CFO of Akamai was bored and needed to justify his existence and obscene salary by doing something. Same old story for these big boys. Don't really know how to develop and grow their core business, but they have to show their investors how clever and powerful they are.

@nebulon From what I've heard, they bought the company because of the people, not the product.

@luckow well if this is just an acqui-hire then I'm not too hopeful for SOGo as such, unless they tried to get the people from the other projects of inverse

@nebulon from an alternative perspective we can check out OX (open xchange) and kopano. I know: both are beasts in terms of interfering with the platform itself 🙂
