Contabo VPS now comes with NVME at no extra cost

We have the choice of going with NVME storage (with less storage) or with SSD (with a higher capacity). The only downside is that the VPS has to be reinstalled since migrating SSD's to NVME isn't possible.
Edit: Sorry, it seems that it's not possible to stay within the same plan and you'll have to "upgrade" to the next tier to switch from SSD to NVME. For instance, I'm on the VPS S SSD and would have to upgrade to VPS M NVME.

What is your opinion about the VPS S SSD plan, Are you using cloudron on it, It has 200 Mb network port speed, Do you find any drawback as compared to DO, Linode, which have a default 1GB network port speed?

Contabo have great prices, but I don't use them because they are not powered by renewables and meanwhile the planet is on fire (and simultaneously under water).
The climate and ecological emergencies are so urgent and severe I'd encourage everyone to support companies who are taking them a least a little bit seriously (and imho it is now so easy for VPS providers to purchase 100% renewable energy there aren't really any valid excuses for not doing so).

@arshsahzad I have used Netcup a little, but I much prefer Hetzner. I tried out Netcup to see how they compare, but their user experience is no way near as good as Hetzners. It felt all clunky and unintuitive. Also, whilst they seemingly charge per hour like Hetzner do, they actually make you pay 6 months in advance, which imho kinda defeats the purpose of hourly charging (with Netcup if you want to just quickly spin up a server you have to pay for 6 months first, and then get a refund afterwards if you cancel if before then. Tedious and pointless imho).

i have experience with netcup, only for collocation, and was not great, especially since customer support was slow and poorly train for network issue.
Hetzner and Infomaniak for collocation are amazing, but we don't use other services from them; what I know is that their customer service at the data center is fast and fix to network or infrastructure are fast. -

@arshsahzad I don't have any high traffic sites so maybe that's why I haven't felt that it's slow at 200mb port speeds but I only used the SSD S plan as a test server. When I made the migration to Contabo, I upgraded to the NVME M plan and I have 400mb port speed and feel my sites are actually loading faster than they did with DO. Maybe it's NVME related but so far so good.
This was a my first server migration with Cloudron and I can't believe how easy it was. This makes switching hosts a breeze so I'm not as worried if Contabo's performance tanks later. I can always switch with a few clicks
@jdaviescoates I'm in the US and 99% of my customers are in the US so server location was what ruled out Netcup and other EU hosts. Do you know any hosting providers in the US that are powered by renewables?

I'd agree with your point, though I was actually checking on them while reading this, and just to be fair and to let you know, it seems they've change this 6 months pricing policy now. (I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I did not even tried their service (yet?))
And for example the package on this page sounds interesting with a fair enough monthly price imho, for this "root server" an upgrade VPS package which is a mix of virtualization and dedicated hardware as 4 dedicated CPUs with 16 GB and 320GB SSD for monthly 16E, sounds to me like it could be used for a small business jitsi server, what dot you think?
