User management

The next version of n8n introduces user mangagement. Currently we use the Cloudron authproxy feature so for the moment this is unclear how data migration will happen. Just wanted to let everyone know why the package is not yet updated.

To give some update here, we have published a new n8n package which has Cloudron's proxyAuth disabled. They have introduced their own user managment now and after the update one has to create an initial admin account.

This update is a major version update so this step is only possible with user-interaction and thus manual update.

@nebulon what happens to existing workflows? Do they just get reassigned to the first user created or something ?

edit: oh, the workflows are global and are not per-user ?

The current user management is quite basic and is essentially similar to how things looked like with the proxyAuth, so all users can access the workflows. Same for the old workflows.

I've updated the app today, it's all seems to went smooth, but n8n requires SMTP to add new users: https://docs.n8n.io/reference/user-management.html#step-one-smtp

@potemkin_ai the package version 2.0.1 will have SMTP pre-setup for this. I forgot it in the 2.0.0 package.

edit : actually it recovered all the workflows, my bad
now I just have to create second user and share workflow with members
