How/Where to install own Mastodon theme

I have a theme for Mastodon. My problem is the question: where in the Cloudron file structure can I upload it? Anyone know?

@kriskros Are there any instructions on how to install themes in the upstream project ? Closest I found was https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/9919 but it is closed and https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/9281 is still open.

@kriskros thanks for the link. It seems like that involves changing upstream code files. On cloudron, source code cannot be changed because this affects updatability. I think you will have to first take this issue upstream to find out why there is no system to easily add themes without changing upstream code.

I think https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/7717 and https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/9281 are the correct issues.

If you want to explore having a custom package, you have to fork https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/mastodon-app/ and patch in your theme code accordingly .
