Would love to see this setup in Cloudron, might package myself. It's a forum software that is easy to use, mobile friendly, and ease to manage.

@murgero what do you like about this over, say, Flarum?

https://misago.gitbook.io/docs/ seemingly hasn't been updated in 4 years which doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

@jdaviescoates The devs just released v4 of the forum i think like 14 days ago - it's still active afaik.

but I like the feel of the forum and that it's docker-first

@jdaviescoates Actually, Flarum looks very nice. May test it.

Many people will never have heard of misago. They may well know other forum software, like nodeBB or Discourse.

You might generate more interest and support for your AppRequest if you explain some of the "killer features" misago has.

As it is, all the work of discovering and appreciating any such features is left to busy people on Cloudron.

@LoudLemur discourse and most forums end up being untamable beasts which is why flarum gained popularity as it’s extremely lightweight.

Thanks for letting me know! It is good information. In what sort of ways does that tend to happen? Add-on after add-on? Or what?

@LoudLemur traffic, media, and just how heavy (css, page size, etc.) each forum system is. Flarum was the #1 choice after a ton of hw. It’s been a while since and I’m not involved without that project anymore so i don’t have any data to reference off hand. But it’s like Ghost vs. Wordpress or Magento vs. any other ecommerce app.. sure they can both perform good but at what cost? 😆

Misago dev here. Those docs are in odd state as a lot of their contents have been migrated to guides posted elsewhere. Misago itself is very much maintained and developed software that is seeing new releases every few months.

Thank you for raising this issue tho. I admit that project is in serious need of rethinking where and how to host its documentation or even a homepage.

@rafalp welcome to Cloudron! You might want to give the app store a look over. There are apps that would do exactly what you're looking for.
