But since you ask how would one set this up? There is no click to configure option afaik. @staff might know more
I guess you could have an event log scraper which then send mails on the interested subjects?https://YOUR.AWESOME.DOMAIN/api/v1/cloudron/eventlog?page=1&per_page=1

That's odd. Maybe the mails got filtered as spam?
Here is an example from my G-Mail Inbox (note: old mail since I no longer use g-mail for my private server):

You get only backup failure. That too, only if it failed for 3 days straight.
