Add OIDC support to Discourse?
-
Now we've got Discourse 3.0, and Cloudron has Open ID Connect too, the next thing that would be really great to have would be to OIDC support for Discourse.
Unlike LDAP there is an official OIDC plugin:
https://www.discourse.org/plugins/oauth.html
https://github.com/discourse/discourse-openid-connect
https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-openid-connect/103632There is also a basic OAuth2 support plugin here:
https://github.com/discourse/discourse-oauth2-basic#readme
https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-oauth2-basic-support/33879 -
I have added optional OpenID support with https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/discourse-app/-/commit/0bf75b35f31b596cef14567b8ee147eb4417ddcb
Now just pending app tests for this, then we can release a new package.
