      We use Mattermost for our Animal Charity for our staff to work together.

      We have noticed when using the apps for it there were issues;

      • with teams on server loading channels and categories.
      • with other teams loading when switching.

      First of all, even with the recommended RAM set it lags, and struggles to run even the plugin installer, We found that depending on the plugin we had to keep increasing RAM or we get an error when installing.

      If you are not going to use anything but the chat function the suggested RAM is okay at a push, We found that 2 GB was ample to use boards, playbooks and other features and some simple plugins.

      We then concentrated on the performance issues with mainly loading. We tried;

      • Updating the amount of RAM allotted to the APP.
      • Updating the CPU allotment to 100%.

      Still, there were loading issues.

      So out of curiosity, we moved the app to an attached volume to the Dedicated Server.

      We have found since doing this switching between teams and the loading of content, channels and categories has stopped and seems to run smoother.

      Has anyone had this issue too?

        This server only has 8GB RAM?

        That is really low. I'd get a much more powerful server if you can. 16GB is pretty much the bare minimum these days IMHO.

        I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

          @mhgcic the disk stats issue is known . A fix is coming in 7.5.2 but it's not related to your performance problem.
