I am just getting tired of the fact that once an EU-based company achieves something, they sell themselves to the USA or China. Both governments are not a single bit trustworthy.
And yeah, I prefer to support local companies MUCH more over giving my money to just another US company that gives a shit about everything as long as they can grab as much money as possible...
+1 for that awesome mascot they have
In case anybody wonders or is searching for it. There is no "real" admin page. You have to login as admin, then go to your account settings, and at the lower end, you find a "button" that brings you to an account administration page
Giving this another push
All went well, apps are restored and all is running as intended
Oh man, i played a bit with their demo today, how is THIS not part of cloudron yet?
@girish
Well, it's nearly a 1:1 clone of discord, and so it has a massive potential for streamers and their communities to be used. Discord has taken the voice chat market by storm, but now and there more and more stories get published that they log EVERYTHING.
Especially if - for example THIS GUY (
) would pick up a story about revolt on cloudron, make sure your gates will get stormedNot necessarily, I think THAT'S undoubtedly the benefit of Fediverse Soft. I run my Mastodon Server for me, family and friends only, but they can participate with the rest of the fediverse and still rest assured that no idiotic mega corps is selling their data.
Others can read our posts, but I don't have to manage a bazillion idiots using my server
"Penpot is a collaborative decision-making tool"?
nah...
maybe you wanna check out vaultwarden, it also offers 2fa, but much more in addition as well
yeah, you need to update your OS to at least version 20, at best, get to 22
any news on mumble for cloudron?
@nebulon yes, as far as i understand it's in the 23.10 version - thats the main new shiny thingy
I managed more over 200 WP + WooCommerce shops in my active time in roughly 20 years in the business. I really don't get where that "hard to handle" myth for WordPress comes from... try working with SAP - THATS hell on earth xD
For a purrrfect cache solution, Check out SwiftPerformance
Since I am currently searching for a Pinterest alternative, I also found this software. Is there a special reason why we don't have it on Cloudron yet?
I also noticed Pinry has extensions for FF and Chrome so you can instantly put your stuff on your own boards, that's amazing!
@girish NEtcup not any longer, they just had a 18 Ubuntu/Cloudron image, and now they don't offer any cloudron stuff anymore, maybe you guys should poken them, or remove their links from your website
hehe, seems you can run Windows directly in a docker container too...
GOSH, these idiots at Paypal are really a thing...
I just wanted to renew my subscription and PayPal tells me to log in to www.paypal.com/secure to verify the transaction, but that is only producing a 404 page not found error. So I called the support... something must be off with my account, yadda yadda, never happened before yadda yadda. They can see the request from Cloudron, but not that I requested a verification key... and have no clue why it isn't working, and that would transfer that issue to the "special services team"
Reddit to the rescue - PayPal - in their infinite wisdom - is giving out the wrong URL. The correct one is:
just in case, you also want to pay with the "pal" - so you don't have to freak out as I just did -.-
Well, I guess they think they are the biggest fish and can start all this shitty behavior. For me, I was already out after I installed it on Cloudron and then a day later I got a mail from a rocket chat employee, trying to get me to buy a license.
