This is now published as unstable. The new forum section is at https://forum.cloudron.io/category/123/easy-appointments I will thus close this thread. As always, if you are interested, please install and test the app so we can eventually mark it stable

I have a friend who worked on a startup to do something similar to this making it easier to record everyone's jam while playing together in person. This is the logical progression.

@jimcavoli That seems really excellent - I also like the +something suggestion, but I'd prefer something totally random and automated. The Extension is a neat trick to auto grab from a web form and then input it into the DB for safe keeping.

@imc67 I just had a little play too - works great! I wonder if this is easier to package than jitsi? There a docker available: Use the peercalls/peercalls image from Docker Hub: docker run --rm -it -p 3000:3000 peercalls/peercalls:latest https://github.com/peer-calls/peer-calls#using-docker https://hub.docker.com/r/peercalls/peercalls

@atrilahiji Looks cool. Any idea if this would be a complementary set?... https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/4258/chirpstack-for-lorawan I might be able to get some of these kinds of things sponsored if they have genuine use for IoT monitoring.

Probably can remove this one from the list - it's been carrying a "no maintenance" notice on it and has been abandoned code-wise since 19 December 2018, and that death-notice banner went into the readme 05 May 2020. Or as a GIF: [image: giphy.gif] On the plus side, decidim is still alive and well.

@masonbee Also see https://forum.cloudron.io/post/17340 and the following posts - IMHO Firefox with Containerise is better in most situations than any of those Electron forks

@esawtooth, @murgero, @atrilahiji ... As @robi mentioned, this is one of the features at the top of our to-do-list, so please stay tuned. Now, most of the functionality required to make this setup work should be already there. Actually, i did a prototype of this a few months ago and don't remember seeing any blockers. I installed Guacamole on the host (through their containerized approach), and then installed xfce4 and tightvncserver within a sysbox container. That's pretty much it. Users would then interact with the Guacamole server (web-based), and reach their sysbox-based environments through the Guacamole interface. The work that is pending is mainly on the hw-acceleration area, so that we allow GUI apps seating in nested containers (levels > 1), to talk to the hosts' GPUs; apps running at the sysbox container level (level == 1) should be already able to talk to the GPUs. Please ping me if any of you is interested in trying / documenting this setup, i'd be happy to help.

I said this, and then tried and the way they generate files on startup and how they make their config is incredibly confusing. I'll give this another shot soon. Unless someone else wants to take a crack at it?
