Help needed.. Matrix-Element Server

I've been trying to set up my own Matrix server on the new one for a few weeks now.
What seems to be running is:
Matrix
Element-Web
Coturn
slyde
Synapse Admin...

What's not working is Element Call....
No matter what I do, I can't get it to work...

Is anyone here who might have a little time to set this up for me?
System: Ubuntu 24

The server is configured so that all services run under subdomains except for Element-Web, which is accessible under the main domain.

The server can also be completely reinstalled if someone has their own system...

I'm desperate, unfortunately.

This is a private project, and we want to use it for our family.

Are you using Cloudron? Sounds to me like perhaps not?

I can't get Element call to work either, reliably that is. I use it only for chat. Even chat notifications fail to deliver sometimes, but mostly for one specific room (family room) that has more than 2 members. I quadruple checked the room settings, it's not that.

BTW, it's the same issue with Element and Element X apps on iOS. Sometimes I get double notification with Element X. WEIRD!

But afaik you can't even use Element X with Cloudron Matrix yet as we've waiting on adding the new Matrix Authentication Server MAS which X requires

I am using Element X with my Cloudron Matrix with no issues 🤨 (note* not using the call function whatsoever).

Not using LDAP/OIDC wanted dedicated accounts for my matrix, so maybe that is why I have no issues at all

@jdaviescoates I installed Element X the moment I heard about it. It logged in fine and ran both apps on my phone for a while.

@BrutalBirdie I think that's the root of my issues now that you mention it. I migrated my Synapse to another Cloudron a while back, app only and not the CR users. Luckily, I just had to reset the password to get it working again, but things definitely aren't wired right in the backend. I have too many work related room that I don't want to lose, hence the procrastination of setting up a new Synapse.
