Immich has updated its synchronisation to v2, more about that here: https://immich.app/blog/sync-v2

When server and app use different versions, apparently, the synchronisation will stop working.
In my case, the app version has already updated on my phone to the newest version, but Cloudron hasn't (version 2 of Immich was released a few days ago only).

So, if anyone encounters issues, you need to make sure to use the same version for both. Right now, that means waiting for the cloudron app update covering this.

Please note that Immich v2 app package requires Cloudron 9, which will take some time to get fully rolled out. To keep immich using, downgrade the phone app. For Android this means installing the previous APK for the moment.

@nebulon Thanks, we ran into this issue, too. What is it in Cloudron 9 that immich requires?

Immich moved internallly from pgvecto.rs to vector chord (both are vector extensions to postgres). This requires an updated postrgres service in Cloudron. Overall it is good they moved to a more supported extension.

Hopefully other apps will utilize vector chord in the future also, as it seems the postgres community has consolidated around that.

If you can drop us your domain name at support@cloudron.io , I can enable the Cloudron 9 update. We can also help with any issues you might hit during the update (most likely, there is none).
