Data Retention / File Management in Mattermost
-
Hi guys,
I have a mattermost instance that I am using for the past 4 years. The file storage has grown significantly. As the system grew, the backups are getting heavy and heavier as the time goes.
Since mattermost does not have any inbuilt Data Retention policy, I want to know what is the best way to handle this?
We usually don't care for files older than 1 year. So I was wondering if we can delete the files older than 1 year. What is the best way to handle this? Can you offer a relevant terminal command that can achieve this?
I'd appreciate your feedback on this.
Thank you
