Peertube: PSA about settings

Just a PSA about settlings and options:
The standard
production.yamlin Cloudron does not reflect the many settings that are available in the currentdefault.yamlon the project’s GitHub (maybe outdated?).For example, I looked for a setting to sort videos by release date by default and couldn’t find any. Turns out, this setting was added some time at the end of 2025.
It‘s worthwhile, therefore, to look at https://github.com/Chocobozzz/PeerTube/blob/develop/config/default.yaml from time to time; and the carefully add the desired settings to your
production.yaml(you shouldn’t mess with settings inherent to the Cloudron package such as related to network, mail or storage location etc.) -

Even if you do, an app restart will revert some of the changes.
On each app restart the Cloudron Peertube app sets database, redis, smtp, storage config values to ensure the basic app functionality is given.
