Newest Release (https://github.com/karakeep-app/karakeep/releases/tag/v0.33.2) has some caveats:

We're migrating to a custom karakeep chrome container (based on https://github.com/chromedp/docker-headless-shell) now that the old alpine-chrome is no longer fetch-able (and has been long abandoned by the maintainer). Check the migration guide here. The old image will continue to work, but it's recommended that you migrate to the new one as it also upgrades chrome to 151 (compared to 124 in the old image). If you've been using browserless (e.g. on unraid), you're not impacted by this, and you don't need to migrate.

BTW, I'm super happy with Karakeep. Though Linkding might have a more elegant interface, the fulltext and/or semantic search in Karakeep is so much better; AI-tagging works well.

@necrevistonnezr The guide did not directly apply to our package because we never used the abandoned alpine-chrome:124 image. We installed Debianโ€™s Chromium inside the single Cloudron container, so nothing was broken or unavailable.

However, our browser was independently maintained by Debian rather than the exact Chrome build Karakeep tests. Iโ€™ve now migrated the package to:

    Package 0.1.11:

    • Karakeep 0.33.2
    • Official Karakeep Chrome 151.0.7922.47
    • Chrome image pinned by immutable tag and digest
    • Fresh Cloudron installation healthy
    • Meilisearch, web, workers, and Chrome all running
    • Real crawl of example.com produced:
      • Screenshot: JPEG, 18,511 bytes
      • PDF: 13,850 bytes

@necrevistonnezr It looks like there was an update with the registry app, making schema defaults new repository rows to visibility private. I made it public again. Please try again.

I assume the update check of Karakeep currently fails because your git is down, correct?

Does this app save the bookmarked page/site or simply link to it? If the site/page changes, will the saved version also change? I ask because I tried the demo, clicked on an item, and it sent me to the site, not the saved item.

                              Awesome!
                              BTW: https://github.com/karakeep-app/karakeep/releases/tag/v0.34.1

This is a security release on top of 0.34.0. The docker images move from the pinned node:24.18.1-slim back to node:24-slim (currently Node 24.22.1) to pick up the October 2026 Node.js security releases. Among other fixes, these patch a Brotli decoder out-of-bounds write (CVE-2026-111497) and several TLS certificate hostname validation bypasses (CVE-2026-105483, CVE-2026-106069, CVE-2026-106072).

Both. If added via Singlefile, you have a true full copy of the site.
