@Hillside502 @necrevistonnezr How are you guys tracking ttrss upstream? Just going to visiting their git periodically?
We actually use release bell to track upstream releases but it doesn't work with ttrss given that they have no release tags... I use ttrss everyday so would be good to have a flow on how to track upstream.

I thought Release Bell works only with GitHub.
Would be great if GitLab and others could be implemented. -
@Hillside502 any contributions to releasebell are welcome, it is developed by us anyways https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/releasebell

Think ttrss now uses gogs

Nope, I just subscribed to the RSS on https://git.tt-rss.org/fox/tt-rss/commits/master
BTW, still massive amount of commits in the past hours. The current state of the Cloudron package still has a few bugs that were resolved yesterday.
And yes, TT-RSS is on GOGS: https://discourse.tt-rss.org/t/gitlab-is-overbloated-shit-garbage/325 and https://discourse.tt-rss.org/t/git-repository-changes/838

We will only package releases, ideally not directly from a master branch, so we will update the app with a new release once that is done upstream.

TT-RSS has no releases anymore, they have been on a "rolling release" now for quite a long time
Tiny Tiny RSS uses a rolling release model based on git master branch which is considered stable.

We were building releases for it from master since last package, but then we probably need clarification for why there are still being releases tagged now https://git.tt-rss.org/fox/tt-rss/releases

Fox wrote a while ago (see https://discourse.tt-rss.org/t/is-v15-7-the-latest/278/2)
the number at the bottom is largely meaningless, yes. then again i tag new versions a few times a year primarily to keep third party theme writers on their toes (j/k).
The rules on the discussion forums state (see https://discourse.tt-rss.org/t/read-before-posting-reporting-bugs/120/7
Only dedicated hosting accounts (i.e. a VDS) running tt-rss GIT cloned from an official repository are supported.
