I tried SofieTV without success two years ago. I think they have solved some issues since...

Weirdly, I have just been looking at libretime to set up a radio station with a friend. It would be cool to have it on Cloudron (and easier).

I'm not sure, but I think you may be able to use some of the music apps already on Cloudron to run an online radio station.

@jdaviescoates I looked but there didn't seem to be any multiperson ones that could pump out an mp3 stream. I have another look though. Thank you.

@masonbee let me know what you find as I'd quite like to have a little online radio station too

@jdaviescoates Will do, and vice versa.

We would also love to run Azuracast with Cloudron. It shouldn't be that hard, since they already heavily use Docker.

AzuraCast is a self-hosted, all-in-one web radio management suite. Using its easy installer and powerful but intuitive web interface, you can start up a fully working web radio station in a few quick minutes.

Be great to have Cloudron listed here:

@LoudLemur Sorry but I'm not working on the Azuracast packaging. I'm quite busy and I prefer to focus on Omeka and IIIF Image server.
@jeau Looks like an amazing project. I hope we can have some image hosting like that on Cloudron soon.

Please, somebody, support this on Cloudron!

@robi A unicorn is cool, but dangling something off its horn is a bit naff, in my book.
Thanks for posting that image. To me it is a bad sign, as it indicates there is no thesis / counter-thesis culture there. Somebody proposed something (in my opinion, a bad idea, i.e. dangling something off a unicorn's horn) and for one reason or another, no counter-proposal was present, to negate the proposal or suggest something better.
If this is the case, it would be a sign of a lack of a defence system, the organization lacks the sort of immune system that can recognize and manage ill. Next, one could anticipate several other bad-actors to arrive and start corroding the system from within.
I hope this doesn't happen.

Cloudron is still missing an out of the box web radio station app like AzuraCast. Just saying.

I would love AzuraCast on Cloudron too. This is why I wish there was some sort of simpler process, for non-developers who have no experience with Docker or programming and such, to install custom applications. While I very much enjoy all the benefits and features Cloudron has, it's tidbits like this that make me think springing for the one-year subscription probably wasn't the best idea before thoroughly researching its pros and cons.
