@plusone-nick volederful!

Oooh, getting close to 1.0! 0.99 came out last month
https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/releases/tag/0.9.9Would be great to have this (and other fediverse apps!) on Cloudron
-
I am not against this, but I think there is a better alternative on the way: Plebbit.
There is already a support request for Plebbit on Cloudron:
https://github.com/plebbit/whitepaper/issues/6
I think it might help if some Cloudron developers introduce themselves on that thread.
There is a Plebbit proof of concept now too, but the appropriate link depends on whether you are using Brave browser.

The whitepaper is worth a read, if you are into that sort of thing.

Plebbit
Create an App Wishlist post for it!

@jdaviescoates Thanks for the encouragement. It worked!

@jdaviescoates
Done : https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/7316/littr-link-aggregator-with-activitypub-integration
With the number of alternatives beeing suggested it would be a good start to compare the different options. I can see these characteristics coming around :
Hacker News or Reddit Clone | Moderation Style | Production Ready | ActivityPub | etc... -
Given that Lemmy is taking off due to the Reddit issues, it seems like it would be very worthwhile for Cloudron to support it.

Lemmy has over 600,000 users now. Deployment of a Lemmy server is currently supported on Yunohost.
Was looking as more then 1.7M as I looked just now

https://lemmyverse.net/?order=activeCensorship is happening on Lemmy by way of de-Federation. As a consequence, some people want to run their own Lemmy servers so as to be in charge of which communities they are able to join. (Though in turn, this puts their own server at risk of being de-Federated.)

I think the fact it's possible to do this on the fediverse is a feature, not a bug
-
@jdaviescoates Yep, but not a very attractive feature. If ONE community on a different server goes bezerk, and the admin of your server chooses to de-federate, ALL communities of the different servers are gone for you. Of course, you can open an account on the de-federated server afterwards but then this whole federation thing gets pointless.
