Add more servers to one domain

I just signed up for the premium plan. I think Cloudron is pretty cool so far, but I am still trying to figure it out.

I have 2 apps running on a server
hello.example.com & goodbye.example.com

Now I want to add another server with a single app and connect it to the same domain.
3rdapp.example.com

How can I do this?

Surely, I am missing something.

@stevespaw multiserver is still in the making, but what you could do in the meantime: set up the new server with a free Cloudron with my.secondaryserver.example.com as dashboard domain and set the A-record DNS entries for 3rdapp.example.com manually at your provider. Obviously this will have a different userbase as your primary cloudron, but maybe you can fiddle with the LDAP servers if you need that.

Just to avoid obvious confusion, unless you have specific reasons why to have multiple servers, you can also add multiple domains to your Cloudron and install all 3 apps on the same Cloudron.

Spicy guess but I think he wants to avoid the premium plan. lol okay should not skip the introduction sentence in the future btw. your second server does not need premium if you just use it for 1-2 apps.

Just use subdomains to "park" your dashboards and do specific (manual) records for your apps.

Wow, so it is on the roadmap to manage multiple servers from one dashboard? I was not asking about that to be honest - that will be huge!

@subven Yeah the comment would have been misguided. We are looking at Cloudron to spin up Peertube instances. It can be super CPU and network intensive at times. I don't think it is a good idea to crush our Wordpress during these times, but maybe that is just me
BTW, I will keep our premium plan for now because I like the product....

@stevespaw I think if you would have the peertube instance on a separate disk and adjust the CPU shares for that app, it might be worth a try to have it on the same instance. Traffic wise I doubt it will make much of a difference regarding delivering a wordpress site alongside.

Essentially yes. It's a bit of a hack though. You add app3.example.com as root domain with manual DNS entrys (*.app3.example.com and app3.example.com A records pointing to server2's IP) for the second server. Your Dashboard will be at my.app3.example.com.

@nebulon Hmm, I have to admit that I did not really consider this. With the ease of Cloudron, it will be worth a try! just to see. I guess in the setup I can choose a disk to install to? I will give this a go later this morning....
