What is the IndieWeb?
The IndieWeb is a people-focused alternative to the "corporate web".
Your content is yours
When you post something on the web, it should belong to you, not a corporation. Too many companies have gone out of business and lost all of their users’ data. By joining the IndieWeb, your content stays yours and in your control.
You are better connected
Your articles and status messages can go to all services, not just one, allowing you to engage with everyone. Even replies and likes on other services can come back to your site so they’re all in one place.
You are in control
You can post anything you want, in any format you want, with no one monitoring you. In addition, you share simple readable links such as example.com/ideas. These links are permanent and will always work.
The IndieWeb is a community of independent & personal websites connected by simple standards, based on the principles of: owning your domain & using it as your primary identity, publishing on your own site (optionally syndicating elsewhere), and owning your data. Read more →
Just stumbled on this, thought people might find interesting.
Not a support post, so feel free to move topic if it's cluttering the main board.

WordPress -> ActivePub
Presumably you meant ActivityPub?
if so, I'm not sure this plugin has anything to do with that
(the IndieWeb concept predates it, I think).
There is this one though https://wordpress.org/plugins/activitypub/

Of course, there are also Scuttlebutt Pubs
https://handbook.scuttlebutt.nz/guides/pubs/setup-a-pub
https://scuttlebot.io/docs/social/join-a-pub.htmlBut I think perhaps they've since been superceded by something else I seem to half remember
Edit: yeah, I think nowadays people just get a room https://github.com/ssbc/go-ssb-room
