    hello.
cloudron incoming email server says i need to open up port25 for email communication outbound, mainly for recieving emails.
however, th problem is that our organization does not allow us to open port, unless it is opened to certain IP addresses only.
we are trying to use incoming email with cloudron, but again, we are not allowed to open port25.
    what can i do?
    thanks in advance

my website is not available right now

Server to server mails are submitted on port 25. so if you cannot make this reachable from the internet you're out of luck.

Trying to circumvent an organisations security policies is usually a bad idea, I would check with your it team on what alternatives they suggest.

@fbartels yeah, i wasn't planning on doing that. that is, unless the IT department wants to give me some alternative. all traffic at least on public infrastructure is required to be on cloudflare http proxy. if i open port25, it will breach the companies security policy.
do you guys know of any other alternatives for recieving incoming communication from the server?

No, without opening port 25 it's not possible to run a mail server. Unless of course you use some 3rd party service to relay incoming mail. At that point, it seems you might as well use some mail service like gmail, outlook etc.

@girish i'm not exactly sure how i would go about relaying incoming mail. i do have outbound mail relayed, though.
