Currently the visibility of app in the dashboard is determined base don the access controls. If an app does not use the Cloudron user management, then the access controls only determine the visibility.
This seems to be a bit of a special case for matrix, given that it is not bundled with the actual client UI (riot) directly. Not sure if this warrants adding a new feature. -
Some users won't know/care about the Matrix server backend supporting the Riot frontend, they just know their service as simply "Riot". I'd like to hide the Matrix app from their Cloudron dashboards.
@yusf create an admin or similar group and only let them see it? This is what I've done with the OnlyOffice app as users seeing that is similarly confusing given clicking on it does nothing and it's all done through Nextcloud

@yusf actually I didn't even create a group, just limited visibility to only my user.

I would set the (in)visibility by limiting user access if it weren't the case that users also need to authenticate through the app.
I wish for a joint Matrix+Riot app but I know it might not happen.
