Advice on Cloudron Mail Server Config and Sizing

Curious about sizing of Cloudron server for hosting of email. A couple of questions:
(1) Is anyone hosting a large number of domains/email accounts? Please share metrics.
(2) Any recommendations on server size (#CPUs/RAM/Storage)?
(3) How much block storage would you recommend? (I read comments about moving default file location to new mount point on block storage. Seems like a good idea.)
(4) Have you gone through an upgrade cycle, either increasing processors or RAM or increasing block storage to accommodate more users? Was this painful or just like upgrading any other cloud server and applications?
(5) Is hosting other apps (in addition to Cloudron Email Server) on the same server good practice? Seems like individual app backups and containerization of Cloudron apps would provide sufficient isolation. Any thoughts based on experience?

I'm not one of them, but there are certainly people on here hosting lots of email.

Basically as much as you can afford!
I think I started on the smallest Hetzner VPS and now I'm on their cheapest dedicated server.

It's a good option if your primary disk starts running out of space. Not sure how much value there is in doing it until you get towards that point.

Yeah, I've done that quite a few times now. It's very smooth. Part of the magic of Cloudron. Read how to migrate Cloudron to another server. I tend to do a dry run to check everything works before updating DNS.

If you mean Cloudron apps, install to away to your hearts content. If you mean running other non-Cloudron apps on the same server, no don't do that (is the general strong recommendation).

@jdaviescoates Good counsel on just running Cloudron apps. On your Hetzner dedicated server, do you find the performance much better than their cloud offerings, especially with a Cloudron app server? We have been using their virtual cloud and have been extremely satisfied.

@crazybrad I'd agree that Hetzner Cloud is great, I just need more needed more of everything than is possible on there because I'm running so many (50+) apps and need lots more storage, and RAM, and CPU for my Peertube instances etc.

Get a dedicated IP for that mail server.
If for what ever reason you need to swap to another server / plan / host the IP has the reputation. -

In fact I am wondering whether outgoing SMTP can be disabled and a transactional email service such as Postmark be configured for outgoing emails. This way the IP address does not get a bad reputation (or any reputation). Is this possible with Cloudron mail?
