    Hello all,

I'm sitting on a installation with both element and synapse/matrix on the same server.

The matrix-server is installed on matrix.domain.com and the element-server is installed on element.domain.com

What should I do to get federation (public chatrooms in element to start with) to work?

I have tried different variants. Like under domain&certs adding matrix.domain.com:443 as the matrix server location. I have also added domain.com:443.

Domain.com is placed elsewhere but has a let's encrypt certificate on it (using .well-known). Hosted for now a cPanel server.

    Thanks for all your advice!

If domain.com is not hosted on Cloudron, then the well-known settings in Cloudron won't work. You have to place the required well-known documents for matrix manually in the server which serves up domain.com
