Nostr seems really interesting avenue into decentralising social media away from locked-in platforms like X/Twitter, FB, Insta, TakTik etc etc

However I am not clear how much it differs from Fediverse, and whether it will do better than the Fediverse in terms of public traction. I appreciate it is a protocol rather than an app, but public understanding/adoption will struggle when Joe Public thinks of single apps/platforms as the total environment. Bizarre when they embrace without question the interoperability of email with its different apps/servers, but struggle with the notion of the Fediverse.

Anyway, I sure hope sending/receiving a Nostr will become as commonplace as with an email.

Cash is dying, our digital financial transaction are too easy to monitor and control (eg the UK's recent de-banking scandal), maybe financial transactions made via a Nostr client will raise some enthusiasm with an easier Bitcoin interface (which I think is clumsy currently). Here's hoping 🤞

So yes, would be nice to Satellite on Cloudron.

Relays don't seem to be very fast/efficient currently, based on my dabbling with the Damus and 0xChat apps.

This is a great proposal - how do we vote for it?
