    Hello,

I switched my Cloudron from VPS to my Intel NUC which is at home. For my domain I currently use Wildcard, becase there are some existing E-Mail Server DNS entries for mailbox.org

My question is now: If I switch from Wildcard to Porkbun (there is my domain hosted) will be all my existing DNS entries for mailbox.org (srv, txt, mx) deleted?

    Thank you and regards
    Lukas

@lukas no, cloudron won't delete existing DNS records. In fact, this is the "normal" setup (for cloudron to co-exist with other DNS records).

Other thing: Just switched from Wildcard to Porkbun DNS and I manually run "sync dns" which created some dns entries for non-existing apps. Is there any housekeeping for DNS entries?

@lukas said in Question to DNS:

which created some dns entries for non-existing apps

Maybe these entries were already existing? As in, Cloudron doesn't have any info on deleted apps. So, it's unlikely that it can create them.

definitely not, before I switches to Porkbu DNS and started "sync DNS" there have been no DNS A-Records.

I run "sync dns" again, now it looks fine, strange.
