Best VPS Provider for Mail Server
-
Currently I use AmazonSES for mail relay. I'm thinking of testing running a full mailserver.
I use Vultr, and even though they opened port 25 for me, they do not allow bulk/marketing emails.
Does anyone have a favorite VPS provider that allows for running a mail server?
Not looking to spam. Want good high quality deliverability for transactional, marketing, and human to human emails.

Wishosting, Racknerd, Time4VPS, and EthernetServers are some I've used over the years for an email server. Each time the IPs were new, and/or clean, surprisingly. As long as you get the rDNS, DKIM, SPF and all that set up right, you should be good to go. One thing I've done is to send a batch of fresh emails from that server to my own email addresses on my Cloudron, my various MXRoute emails, and my own host of Gmail, Outlook, and iCloud email addresses, and haven't had problems after a week of this with others receiving my emails from the new server.

@Dave-Swift How much email are you sending? Generally, I've seen people say that directly sending your own email isn't recommended until you hit around 70,000 email per month (just because at such low volumes, you are usually considered as automatically being a spam risk).
It's entirely up to you though. I don't know if those numbers are correct.
