@archos It was noticeable a couple of days ago. Invidious pages didn't load right away and needed reloading. Now the video won't work at all. I think google have some digruntled former employees. Maybe they would like to help contribute code.

Mines still currently working (but I rarely actually use it!)
-
Mines working, do you think youtubes newest attempt in inject ads server-side is breaking it?
-
I wanna throw in an idea I just had but I lack the expertise to know if it's feasible:
Would it be at all possible to add an openvpn configuration to the Invidious app? That way one could utilize different IP addresses when required and also keep the IP of the server on which the instance is running hidden from YT/G. Might be worth considering.
-
@svtx definitely possible and I think would be a good addition for other apps like rss readers as well that want to hide their IP when fetching feeds
-
Come to think of it, this feature may prove to be quite useful in several professional and private applications.
cough cough Transmission cough coughPerhaps it would make sense to store the VPN configs in Cloudron's central network options then and allow to use them or the default server gateway on a per-app basis (in the respective app's settings).

@LoudLemur said in YouTube is currently trying to block Invidious instances:
resorting to a "normal" Youtube experience packed full of advertisements is awful.
ublock origin is your friend, gets rid of the ads at least.
Whenever I used a computer without an adblocker installed I'm blown away by how many ads there are!

All those apps that "expose" the IP address for their operation could benefit from this improvement.
