Hi, I am trying to deploy Cloudron on AWS using the AMI linked on the Cloudron website here: https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B082Q3MNBR

The AMI has been deployed, and I also have a domain registered with Route53.

After browsing to the IP of the EC2 instance, I am prompted with the Domain Setup which asks for the Domain, DNS Provider and EC2 Instance Id.

After populating these fields and clicking Next, the error is 'Unable to get EC2 meta data. statusCode: 401'. This happens regardless of which DNS Provider I select.

Any help please? Im hoping its not to do with the AMI using an older metadata service call..

Hi and welcome here. The code in question would query http://169.254.169.254/latest/meta-data/instance-id from the instance, can you try to ssh into the server and see if curl v http://169.254.169.254/latest/meta-data/instance-id works?

This is because of IMDSv2 . Make it optional like below and it should work:

We will try to make it work with IMDSv2 in next release.
