...you know, the one with all the rain! ⛈️

My time zone is set to Europe/London and the time indicator shows (UTC+0) when it should be showing UTC+1 as it is currently Summer (looking out of the window makes a mockery of that season -ed) 🤔

The server's timezone is set to UTC:

    root@my ~ # timedatectl
Local time: Mon 2024-08-26 11:04:58 UTC
Universal time: Mon 2024-08-26 11:04:58 UTC
                     RTC time: Mon 2024-08-26 11:04:58
                    Time zone: UTC (UTC, +0000)
    System clock synchronized: yes
                  NTP service: active
              RTC in local TZ: no

For example, my local machine shows:

      axel@localhost-live:~$ timedatectl
Local time: Mon 2024-08-26 12:11:54 BST
Universal time: Mon 2024-08-26 11:11:54 UTC
                       RTC time: Mon 2024-08-26 11:11:54
                      Time zone: Europe/London (BST, +0100)
      System clock synchronized: yes
                    NTP service: active
                RTC in local TZ: no

@3246 what is the question 😉 ? server timezone is always UTC on Cloudron servers. The timestamps are converted to the browser timezone when showing logs in the browser . Is that the timezone you are referring to? Maybe your browser hasn't picked up the correct timezone ?

Sorry I didn't make myself clear, @girish 🙂 The timezone displayed in Cloudron's settings should be BST (British Summer Time) instead of UTC+0, it should be UTC+1.

"In the UK the clocks go forward 1 hour at 1am on the last Sunday in March, and back 1 hour at 2am on the last Sunday in October. The period when the clocks are 1 hour ahead is called British Summer Time (BST)." - gov.uk

Ah gotcha. I think this is similar to https://github.com/OrchardCMS/OrchardCore/issues/3510 . The DST portion is "auto adjusted" . I am yet to verify if this is true with our code though.

Yeah, the cron module we use takes care of DST. So, essentially, if you choose your timezone, DST will be taken care of.

@girish said in Timezone BST (British Summer Time):

DST will be taken care of.

but seemingly displayed incorrectly as per @3246 screenshot

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

Unfortunately, the browser does not give us DST offset information to display. Only the UTC offset.
