    when subsequently integrating an S3 Object Storage (linode), the media data is moved to the bucket, but only placeholders are displayed in Mastodon (for old media, of course, but also for new media). Server restarted of course. What am I missing?

      same now on Hetzner...

      S3_ENABLED=true
      S3_BUCKET="bucketName"
      AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=xxxxx
      AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=xxx
      S3_REGION=eu-central
      S3_PROTOCOL=https
      S3_HOSTNAME="buckjet-name".fsn1.your-objectstorage.com
      also tested: S3_HOSTNAME="fsn1.your-objectstorage.com
      S3_ENDPOINT=https://fsn1.your-objectstorage.com

        Not sure about mastodon's setting but I tried with Cloudron earlier today and it works fine with S3 compatible provider. You have to use fsn1.your-objectstorage.com as the host , bucketName as the bucket name and us-east-1 as the region.

              here we go
              Using a private bucket on Hetzner.

              S3_ENABLED=true
              S3_BUCKET=NameOfYourBucket
              AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=xxxxxxxx
              AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
              S3_REGION=eu-central-1
              S3_PROTOCOL=https
              S3_HOSTNAME=NameOfYourBucket.fsn1.your-objectstorage.com
              S3_ENDPOINT=https://NameOfYourBucket.fsn1.your-objectstorage.com
