Cloudron for a web agency ?
-
Hi all,
I use Cloudron to create ghost apps for my customers. The cloudron is hosted on a digital ocean that i grow regarding the demand. I have around 20 apps. Will this model be scalable up to 100 or 200 apps ? Is there a better / safer way to do it ?
I feel it is kind of risky to have all the apps in a same server.
What do you guys advise ?
Best,

In our experience if a solid VPS provider is used, those servers are very stable and have a really good uptime. But of course sometimes those need a reboot and also some Cloudron updates result in short downtimes of apps.
There is probably no clear answer as it very much also depends on your expectations and requirements of uptime, but of course splitting up apps across a few Cloudrons limits the impact to all your customers at once.
Maybe others can share their experience though, that would be great!

yep. More than one Cloudron instance

I would split up the apps over multiple servers. You don't want all your customers being down if you have a single point of failure.
For example, while rare, even DigitalOcean reboot our servers automatically for maintenance from time to time (every 6 months or so).
