    Hi all,

I was not able to find the answer on the forum or the docs, and so I am hoping someone knows:
At the moment, upon a new login (any successful login after being logged out -logging out, timeout etc..) on a Cloudron instance, an notification email is automatically sent to the user alerting of "[My server name] New login on your account" (email subject).

    I am wondering:

    • Is there a way to turn this off?
    • Is there a way to tweak this email notification (frequency / known devices / known ips etc..)

Especially in case of connected Cloudron servers, this is confusing for the end user - Consider this scenario:

    • Coudron Server A (CSA) and Cloudron Server B (CSB) user directories are connected.
    • CSA has an app proxy app for an app located on CSB
    • The app on CSB is OIDC enabled.
    • CSA (myCSA.mydomain1.com) and CSB (myCSB.mydomain2.com) have two different domain names.
    • app located on CSB use a child domain name of CSA (myapp.mydomain1.com)

    With a fresh browser session:

    • User 1 log onto CSA -> get CSA new login notification (from myCSA.mydomain1.com). Notification #1
    • User 1 click on app proxy tile for app on CSB
    • User 1 get prompted to log in CSB -> get CSB new login notification (from myCSB.mydomain2.com). Notification #2
User 1 is then logged in myapp.mydomain1.com

While notification #1 might be helpful, notification #2 is extra confusing for the end user.

Would anyone have an idea how to get around this?
I might be over blowing it simply by not having found the relevant Cloudron parameter. Otherwise please let me know if you already came through this and how.

    Thanks,

@uwcrbc great report. I can see that it's quite annoying to see 2 emails for every login. I think we can disable the notification from the CSA . In general, I think notifications can be disabled if external auth is enabled. We can rely on the external auth to send user login emails. This is currently the case already with Okta, Jumpcloud and Cloudron.

Thank you @girish - Sounds promising. Looking forward to v8.
