Does your DNS provider offer an ALIAS record?
-
ALIAS is the solution to connect your naked/root domain to another domain without knowing the IP address of the server instance (like CNAME for subdomains). BUT: it is not available with all DNS providers. This thread tries to give an overview of the DNS providers that support the ALIAS record / feature.

Updated:
Hetzner DNS does not: https://docs.hetzner.com/de/dns-console/dns/manage-records/managing-cname-records/
They say:
"No unfortunately not. As it is no RFC Standard yet we are not supporting it."

@dsp76 I think Hetzner only offers CNAME records and not ALIAS records . Note that ALIAS is not a DNS record type but an implementation on the DNS server . The DNS server resolves a name and returns the response of that resolution directly when using ALIAS (instead of returning the name like when using CNAME)

Looks like Gandi does https://docs.gandi.net/en/domain_names/faq/record_types/alias_record.html
