Instead of Odoo, mentioned before in Odoo - distributed business apps,
I suggest Flectra, a recent fork of his latest version (11) focused on open source, as Odoo is becoming more and more an open core software instead of open source.

They even recently had a legal agreement to make safe use it.

        Pretty sweet license too. LGPL.
        The team has 40 developers
        They have consistently produced releases.

It seems there is a docker image made by Flectra team here https://hub.docker.com/r/flectrahq/flectra/

@benoit If the Flectra Docker image is based off the official Odoo one, that would be helpful, as the Docker image deploys an Odoo to deploy other Odoos (i.e. additional Odoo instances).

The Flectra demo is very snappy and looks quite pretty.

Odoo was starting to support proprietary stuff to the detriment of the Free Software. For example, the calendar functionality was setup to work with proprietary systems like Google Calendar and Outlook, but there was no Free standard available by default.

Flectra could take the lead over Odoo in some ways if they tried some more experimental features, like support for crypto-currency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero...) in the e-commerce application.

                Great suggestion, @GustavoMarcante

Is there anywhere we can see the progress of requests like this? Flectra / Odoo enable an ton of functionality and I hope Flectra becomes available soon.

@loudlemur I'm not sure how up to date it is, but there is a Work In Progress WIP tag:

                    https://forum.cloudron.io/tags/WIP

In theory if it's not tagged there then it isn't currently being worked on (although quite a few that are tagged seem to have stalled too)

The App Wishlist category is exactly that, i.e. a wish list. For the vast majority of apps on the list, afaik there is basically no packaging for Cloudron activity going on.

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

@loudlemur as @jdaviescoates pointed out, the closest we have is the WIP tags but even those get a bit out of date.

We are a small team, so our priorities unfortunately keep shifting to the next "fire". In general, cloudron.io issues, support tickets (both via mail and on this forum), security updates, app updates get higher priority than any new development.

@mdreira Thanks for asking, @mdreira. I can't claim that honour. I hope somebody else claims it though! It would indeed be amazing.

Whoever packages those applications should be somebody who knows how to do it well as the load the might end up bearing, (supporting an entire enterprise potentially) could be very great. It is like building a bridge. Sometimes, you know that it had better be well made as the sort of traffic it is likely to carry is going to be mighty large.

                              Happy New Year!

Last time I looked it didn't include the Odoo Studio due to licence/copyright issues, seems it does now (only available in Professional, not Community):
