Accessing Nextcloud App Store following 32.0.0 update
-
Hello everyone,
Following Nextcloud latest package update to 32.0.0 [5.6.0] it seems I've lost the ability to connect to the Nextcloud app store to update and install apps (?).
I understand that Nextcloud requires for now to setup the AppAPI app in order to register a default Deploy Deamon. The how-to is mentioned here
https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/latest/admin_manual/exapps_management/AppAPIAndExternalApps.html#setup-deploy-daemonCould someone please explain how to register this default deploy daemon to work with Cloudron ? There are many templates to choose from and I've no idea which one to use and the settings to input. I just wish to use the regular app store as before for browsing and update apps.
Thanks a lot for your support and best wishes

Are you saying that we’ve lost access to the App Store and all the other non-default apps we previously had installed?

Same issue, I think they just have server issues. It looks like it's a timeout problem and
https://apps.nextcloud.com/api/v1/apps.json
is taking more than 60 seconds to load -

@coniunctio I can still access the apps I've previously installed (some have now been disabled and labelled "untested") but not the App Store to browse and install new ones.

Same issue here with version 31.0.9. Definitely a problem on Nextcloud’s side.

Anyone tried a workaround for Nextcloud Talk?
Pretty annoying that the main method of communications isn't a core app.

@marcusquinn I confirm the latest version of Talk updated 4 days ago (spreed 22.0.0) works with the new Nextcloud Hub 25. You have to install it manually however as the NextCloud App Store is down. Simply download the archive from the GitHub page (https://github.com/nextcloud/spreed). Then extract the archive and rearrange it’s content so that you have just one folder named spreed containing all the others files and folders (I mean to avoid having a first spreed folder containing a second spreed folder containing all the rest). Compress it again. Then upload the zip file in your Cloudron’s Nextcloud app folder using Cloudron GUI. Delete the old spreed folder and extract the new one. Don’t forget to change the ownership of the spreed folder from roots to www-data (NB I had to use CLI to do that as it would not work otherwise )
