If I am broadcasting from the studio with OBS, how can I allow someone outside (for example, at a conference) to broadcast live? More specifically, what access details should I provide? Should I use the same ones I use, or can I create separate ones just for them?

I think Owncast only supports single credentials and does't have any proper user management or knows how to manage multiple streaming keys

I’m exploring this route at the moment. I think this has to take place at OBS level using something like the free and open-source https://vdo.ninja web app.
Requires a bit of preparation before hand but the end result is pretty cool. More info in this tutorial

PS: An unavoidable 10s buffering delays is expected with Owncast way of streaming. Discussions between participants are possible but a bit tedious and obviously require discipline šŸ˜…

@osobo said in User and live broadcast:

Is this a technology limitation or a purposeful limitation for cutting a feed in the event of a SNAFU?

I think a technical limitation unfortunately.
