The most recent Grav package update went from 1.7.50.9 to 1.8.0-beta.25.

This looks like the first update to a beta version.

Is it typical for Cloudron to move to the beta version?

(I ask as our Grav site has started to have odd errors (such as Markdown not being rendered) and I'm wondering if it is because of the beta version of Grav.)

PS – Just saw this from the author of Grav from two weeks ago, "There was an issue there I accidentally released 1.8 beta as stable."

Perhaps the beta version was accidentally pushed to Cloudron Grav installs?

Oh good find! The Cloudron package did get updated to that version. The release pipeline via renovate probably picked that up as being marked as stable at that point. Since the end to end tests also passed, it looked fine from our perspective.

We have to take a closer look if we should revert that package version then. For the moment for you, or others encountering strange issue, probably try to restore to a backup from the old version if possible.
        Now I guess

@superhua whoops yes, my mistake. I put a wrong regexp. But I also found that all that 1.7.50.x releases have been removed upstream - https://discourse.getgrav.org/t/upgrade-to-grav-v1-7-50-9-not-working/29222/4 . I will revoke all the packages .
