When choosing backup everything, only 10 of 19 Apps are being backed up. What could be the reason?

In cloudron-support --troubleshoot everything is OK.

      Hello @james and @zonzonzon

I now know the reason: Stopped apps are not backed up. Didn't know that. I will have to start them for inclusion in the backup.

      Hello @miednr

Yes, for stopped apps a new backup will not be created since nothing has changed.
      See: https://docs.cloudron.io/backups#retention-policy

For installed apps and box backups, the latest backup is always retained regardless of the policy. This ensures at least one backup remains preserved even if all backups fall outside the retention policy. This also preserves the latest backup of stopped apps when not referenced by any box backup.

Did you know you can also archive apps?

You can try upgrading Cloudron to the latest version and then reconfigure the “Configure Backup Site” section. I tried this and the backup process started working again.

          Hello @miednr
Without more details every answer is just guessing.

          Please answer the following question:

          • What Cloudron version are you using?
          • What apps are not included in the backup?
          • Did you disable automatic backups for these apps?
          • Are the apps proxy apps or external links?
          • What backup site provider are you using?
          • What backup type are you using TGZ or RSYNC?

            Hello @james and @zonzonzon

Thank you for your messages. I am using Cloudron 9.0.17 and will answer the other questions later this day. I am working on using another storage solution (I am using S3-Object Storage at the moment). I hope, that the other solution will be more reliable. Maybe the issue can be solved that way. I will let you know in both cases.
