🚨 Update your modules BEFORE updating to package version 1.16.35
-
I updated to package version 1.16.35 and it broke the app. I reverted to a working backup and visited the app to confirm. I've made it a habit to check the modules page, and I had two modules that needed an update. I check these on a daily (on business days mostly) basis, so things aren't "outdated". Anyway, I ran those updates and it completed successfully. Then, I tried the package update again and this time it worked fine. Just a heads up to everyone in case you also run into this.
P.S. I didn't pay attention as to which modules needed updating, but I did download the log file for the failed package update in case the devs want that. It's too long to post so DM me.

So the app breaks with regular updates?
@james is there a pre-backup/update hook to run module updates?

@Hello robi
As far as I am aware, no.
Also, plugins in Freescout are many times paid for.
So if a plugin of Freescout causes the whole Freescout to go down, I would redirect that to the Freescout plugin.@james Yes, my plugins are paid ones. My instance updated fine to 1.16.36, so I didn't feel the need to post upstream. Just wanted to warn others in case they're were wondering what the cause was. The "tags" module updated today without an issue so all good I guess.
