it is normal than the search engine is not really reliable ?

if you search for well-known or Well-Known or well-Known or Well-known or well known, ... it return nothing

is there a way to improve that outside of using inurl google ?

Unfortunately this is a known issue and the one we use, which comes with mkdocs, is pretty bad indeed.

The reason to not use google or angolia is basically purely based on the selfhosting spirit we operate as a company. In that specific case we don't really want to expose our user's search queries getting exposed to a 3rd party.

Basically we are waiting for a selfhostable and integrate-able search engine there 😕
