LAMP (PHP 5.5.9) for an old web application
-
@andirahmat I can assist in creating a custom LAMP app for this - however a few things to note before going forward:
- You are asking for an app that will probably never make it to the app store (you will need to install and update via my custom code)
- The software in question is not longer supported (PHP5, ubuntu 14.04, etc)
- The security of the app will NOT be up to standards due to the above.
-
@murgero I did not expect it to be avialable on the app store. But i hope there will be php 5.5.9 docker images still available. And yes i fully understand about security risk, but i have no option until new version of the app finished.
May we continue discuss this on forum chat then. Thank you.

I think we will get this question again sooner or later.
Will you create a git repo / fork on https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron for that? -
@BrutalBirdie The repo will be on the cloudron gitlab, but it will NOT be endorsed by Cloudron, it will not be official.

Sure! I am totally aware that this will only be custom app not supported or endorsed by Cloudron.
I never expected something else -
@humptydumpty I have an alpha build of this but I have been so busy I never had a chance to complete it. I need to get back into it as @andirahmat was expecting it a long time ago
-
@humptydumpty 20.04 doesn't have any repos that would install 5.6 since it's EOL - but my current docker image can be easily swapped to 5.6.

I'm always for helping people out, and seeing people get help, especially in the right context... But this seems like it can more easily be solved by simply installing a regular LAMP stack on a VPS, with the version(s) you need. You could do it within 30 minutes. Why post such a request here? The minimum specs are clear about Cloudron!
If you actually don't know how to set up a LAMP stack, well, then drop me a DM and I can get you up and running.
