v3.0.0 live stream quality a disaster
-
Finally the VOD upload/play issues are solved in this new version (https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/3414/transcode-after-import-fails/).
However, live stream quality is a disaster, we have a 720P50 24/7 TV stream (on our current platform) and moving this to Peertube results in unreadable and unidentifiable video stream in so called 720P, here an example.
Our Cloudron server is a 10 core AMD Epyc, 64GB without any noticable CPU usage during stream. The stream settings in Peertube also below.
Has anyone a better result with streaming before I create an issue at their Git?

hm I couldn't really figure out how to even stream something, is there some view where I can for example stream my laptop camera through the browser or so? Maybe that is not the correct use-case though
-
@nebulon if you want to stream a webcam you need something like OBS to capture the webcam and create a RTMP (push) stream to a Peertube live video rtmp-address+key
-
Oh boy I didn't notice issues like that. What are your settings like in OBS?

@atrilahiji and @robi
I tried restream.io (didn't knew that!) to check if stream can be arrived there and restreamed to Twitch, all worked fine!
We use a Datavideo Encoder, the settings are:
Resolution : 1280 x 720
Framerate : 50.00 (Progressive)
Scale Down NO
SD Aspect Ratio (Input) 16:9
H.264 Encode Main 3.1
GOP Structure IPPP
GOP Size 50
Video Bitrate (Kbps) 2500
Video Rate Mode CBR
Audio Stereo Stereo
Stereo Bitrate (Kbps) 384
Audio Source DIG
Analog Audio System EBUI think I'm going to create an issue on their Github.
However, Peertube livestream has for us some limitations like, they don't have and will get a 'passthrough' (like a build-in restream) which many platform of course do have.
I really think that OSP (https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/2707/open-streaming-platform-osp/) has better credits, is much actively developed by people who are into streaming. So let's vote for that too
