    Hi dear cloudron members,

    I know through the documentation that Peertube doesn't like moving it's app location. Now my domain where Peertube lives on at the moment is ending and i am not renewing that domain.

    What would be the best strategy to backup and restore Peertube to one of my existing domains in Cloudron?
    Or do i just have to start all over...?

      Changing the domain is always a bit of an issue with these decentralized apps. I haven't done that yet, but for a start I would just change the location/domain on that same app instance. I would assume other instances following you would not be able to do that anymore, but this still might be smoother than starting fresh.

          @nebulon
          i just moved PeerTube's location/domain to my other domain, and so far so good.
          All my uploaded vids are still there and uploading a new one als works 👍 👍

          i'll keep my eye's open the upcoming days/weeks and report back again, just to be sure everything went well...

            @dantheman changing domain won't break functionality or make data disappear, it will only break federation. So if you had followers previously you might have to ask them to follow you again.
