Free smtp services from google
-
Cloudron has built in email. Otherwise you can use something like mailgun for free (up to a point) and is pretty cheap after. Also Amazon SES is pretty good.
If you want professional reliable service + free you're going to be looking around for a long time.

@atrilahiji
Cloudron has built in email ? I thought I should only use external smtp and connect that is why i bought a professional email from godaddy.
Could you please guide me on setting built in email is there any restrictions for it ?

@onlybro https://docs.cloudron.io/email/#enable-email
Depending on your host smtp ports might be blocks (check that). Also make sure you set up PTR records.
Another thing you might run into is your IP address being on a blocklist. If thats the case you will have deliver-ability issues. In that case just use Mailgun or some other transactional email server.
Solid options:
- Mailgun
- Sendgrid
- Amazon SES

@atrilahiji
Are there any type of restrictions on using built in email service of cloudron ?
I’m asking you

@onlybro google is not free : they steal your data and parse your content for advertising.
There are no services out there which are free over a certain level.
If you can stay within those levels, then maybe sendgrid or AWS SES can work for you. -
@onlybro Not really, its run on your server. So long as your IP isn't blacklisted and your internet (or VPS provider's internet) doesn't suck it should be good. Its not like a Cloudron hosted email provider it runs on your own cloudron server.
It also integrates with email clients like roundcube in the app store.

@timconsidine Also good to point out is if the plan is to just use a personal google account's SMTP settings it will be severely rate limited.
