Automad is a flat-file content management system and template engine

OK, so I know we have a number of website builders on Cloudron already, but this (IMHO) is really nice.

I'm a fan of flat-file websites, and this is a lot easier than Hugo/Jekyll etc, and without the more complex interface of Ghost/Grav.

    Plus points :

    • Simplicity of interface and function
    • Flexibility of layout and 'live design'

It's already Docker-ised ... although it's a docker image pull, no docker-compose available. I wonder if that can be 'converted' (not a docker expert).

One downside maybe is that it contains its own PHP and webserver stack. Maybe this won't co-exist with Cloudron platform.

    So I'm waffling now.
Have installed on a non-cloudron VPS docker and works sweetly.

See if it works in WP Unmanaged by just swapping out the PHP files with the WP install dir.

@robi Better to just use the LAMP app for testing I think

I managed to install it in a fresh LAMP and seems to run perfectly. I only had to follow point 1 from the instructions https://automad.org/getting-started#manual-installation. For point 4, the URL is /index.php/dashboard/

@mononym If the CMS has an "htaccess" file make sure that is correctly named .htaccess so the LAMP server uses its configuration properly.
