Few days ago, 2 domains hosted on Cloudron; I have a total of 8 domains, have an issue with smtp.live.com

    Configuration

    • All of my domain are using direct SMTP

    Error Message

Connect to smtp.live.com timed out. Check if port 25 (outbound) is blocked

    What I tried

I reinitialize the DNS configuration which fixed the issue for 48 hours and the message came back.

One domain is only for internal management, so it would be practical to being able to knowledge the issue, but for the other domain, I would like to fix it.

    Question

    • It is possible to acknowledge an issue in Cloudron ?
    • What would you do in that case ?

I raised this a couple weeks back here: https://forum.cloudron.io/post/42583 - it has lots of discussion on it already. The summary though is that Cloudron team is hosting their own SMTP server for checking purposes only and a new Cloudron update will remove the smtp.live.com server from their checking script and will replace it with their own.

What @d19dotca mentioned is correct, the next release will solve this issue and the current warning can be safely ignored for now.
