    I have various Cloudrons.

They all have a Nextcloud or two on them.

On some of them Nextcloud got an update to 20.0.4 without any warnings.

On others, it's showing the same update, but with this warning:

This update is a pre-release and not considered stable yet. Please update at your own risk.

I don't understand why the exact same update has different warnings on different Cloudrons?

Are you able to explain please @staff? Thanks! 🙂

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

@jdaviescoates By any chance are the CR's with no notification on the free plan?

I ask because I get notifications on my premium CR but not on my free one. I'm also using Nextcloud on both and noticed the same thing. It would be nice to have the staff clarify why this is the case.

        no

Also, it's not in notifications where I'm seeing this, it's after hitting the Update available button

@jdaviescoates For nextcloud, the app is getting rolled out "slowly". The way our roll out works is roughly based on domain name. We would allow domains starting with "a" first. Then "b", then "c" and so on. When not in the allow list, the nextcloud will say the update is "unstable" for people who check for updates manually.

Also, the reason for nextcloud update is that it has some slightly tricky optimization to change ownership of files carefully. It also changes the default data directory of newer nextcloud installations.
