Hello, i try to update my nextcloud instanz, but it failed:

      Check for write permissions
The following places can not be written to:

          /app/code/updater/../COPYING
          /app/code/updater/../cron.php
          /app/code/updater/../occ
          /app/code/updater/../.user.ini
          /app/code/updater/../remote.php
          /app/code/updater/../robots.txt
          /app/code/updater/../version.php
          /app/code/updater/../console.php
          /app/code/updater/../public.php
          /app/code/updater/../status.php
          /app/code/updater/../index.php
          /app/code/updater/../index.html
          /app/code/updater/../AUTHORS

      chown -R www-data:www-data on /app/code/ doesn't change anything.

Is there any solution for this?

        Can you try chown -R www-data:www-data /app/data/ instead ?

Er, hold on. Are you trying to update nextcloud from inside nextcloud?

Your Nextcloud instance is only updated through Cloudron packages.

/app/code/ is nerver writable and this is how it's meant to be. Go to the docs I linked above 🙂

Ah okay, I thought so, but wanted to try my luck. Thanks for the enlightenment.

But how can I install Nextcloud 25.x. to install? The latest versions are already being discussed here in the forum. Is there a beta program or something like that? I currently have 24.0.4

@eddiiii In App -> Updates -> Check For Updates. Cloudron package is already at 25.0.1.

@girish I'm still only offered 24.0.4, also in the App Store. I try to update to the latest cloudron version.

                EDIT: That seems to work.

                  Only if you're on 7.3.x - that's why I previously updated to 7.3.2

                  Yep, that does it 🙂

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner
